The SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents
R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots)

By Karel Čapek
Adapted by Cezar Williams and Cynthia Grace Robinson

Directed by Cezar Williams

In a full-scale mainstage production, Purchase Repertory Theatre presents this 1920 Czech science fiction play that introduced the word “robot” (from the Czech robota, meaning forced labor) to the world, depicting a factory that mass-produces artificial, human-like workers.

Featuring the work of BFA Acting Junior Company 52 and the BFA Theatre Design/Technology program.
